There is just something nice about fishing for pan fish. They are just so fun to catch. During the Texas drought of 2011 a local favorite fishing lake went dry. Thanks to the rains of 2015 and 2016, the lake is now full again and is full of panfish. No one is sure where they came from, but with no competition they have overrun the lake and that is fine by me. Time to break out the canoe and the panfish jigs and have some fun.
